End of Watch Meme Ideas: Who to Put in the Locker Scene

Nov 4, 2026

The End of Watch meme is one joke: someone holds up a ridiculous amount of gear to the camera, as if to say they will never need to fight. The scene from the 2012 film does the work. What makes one version funnier than the next is who is in it, what they are wearing, and the line under it. Here are ideas taken from the versions people actually posted, and from the comments under them.

Start from the original joke

The post that set it off, @xylofiles in August 2023, ran under "my boyfriend is 6'5 and can fight". The comments answered it with their own lines: "Yk 6'5 dudes have guns too", "He's 260 though brother", "He benches 95 lbs which means he is bulletproof". All of them are about the same contrast, a tough claim against a man with a belt full of gear.

So the simplest idea is still the best one: put the person the caption is about in the locker room, and let the gear answer.

Who to put in it

  • The tall boyfriend. The one the original caption is about. Put him in, use the line, tag him.
  • Your gym partner. One of the first 2023 versions was filmed at the gym with a lifting belt and resistance bands, and passed 800,000 plays. The gym regular holding up handcuffs is the same joke the other way round.
  • The coworker behind the counter. Another 2023 version was shot behind a burger counter with kitchen tools held up to the lens. Cast the one who runs the grill.
  • Your Halloween look. One of the AI versions from November 2026 is a face in skeleton make-up, tagged #halloweenmakeup and #faceswap. A photo of your own costume works the same way.
  • Someone nobody expects. Many of the AI versions put cartoon characters or a robot in the locker room. The less someone looks like a patrol officer, the better the gear lands. Use a photo of a person you have the right to use.

Use the partner shot

The scene ends with the partner leaning in from the left, and both of them grinning. That last second is made for tagging someone.

  • A pair who are always together: best friends, roommates, a couple.
  • The one who would never be a cop, leaning in next to the one who looks like he already is.
  • Leave it as it is. If you add no partner photo, the partner from the film stays, which is its own joke.

You can add a photo for each of you, or one photo of the two of you side by side: the one on the left holds up the gear, the one on the right leans in.

Dress the part in your photo

The AI dresses you in what your photo shows, so your outfit is part of the joke. A gym tank, a chef's jacket, a work uniform, a costume: if it is in the photo, it is in the locker room. A tight face crop with no clothes in it gets the white T-shirt from the film instead.

Captions that fit

Short is the rule. These are lines from real posts:

  • "my boyfriend is 6'5 and can fight"
  • "“End of watch” trend 👮🏻"
  • "Fake gun • AI-generated scene • Original scene: End of Watch (2012)"

The last one does two jobs: it explains the joke and says it is AI. Add #endofwatch, #lockerscene or #lockerroom, and switch on TikTok's AI-generated content label.

What to skip

Sunglasses, a hand over the face, a face far in the background and heavy filters. The scene is mostly a close-up, so the face has to be sharp and turned to the camera.

Make yours

The scene, the gear and the cuts are already set up: read how to make an End of Watch AI video for the steps, the End of Watch AI template for what it keeps and swaps, or the End of Watch trend for where it all came from.
